Came up with the idea for this guy a while ago and well here he is. Quite happy with this new alien.
The day was a bright and beautiful day out on Lavana. Pleasantly warm (if your a Lavock anyway) and fairly clear skys. Thought that was fairly normal. Rain only came seasonally unless you lived in the tropics around the equator. Vaison a young curious lad was out for an adventure. Vaison was going to explore some caves nearby. The mountainous region he lived in had many. But having been settled for so long was fairly free of predators. Vai set out from his home garbed in only an absorbent undergarment. Customary for young Lavock and even some older ones desiring the convenience. Vaison hummed a tune as he walked. The tune was distinctly human. A cartoon his father had shown him. Having once been human his father passed on much in the way of knowledge and his own culture. Such was common. There were now many Lavock that were once human. Ever since first contact was made. Vaison had a good understanding of why some humans became Lavock. Their world was not a pleasant place for humans. Temperatures could sore to great heights and a chilly day was still about 10 degrees above what humans found comfortable. That coupled with the dry desert nature of much of their world made it troublesome for the poor humans.
Vaison stopped at one point and looked down at the valley below where the lake was. The local human settlement was there. Humans had much different homes from them. Vaison remembered an old one saying it reminded him of Rome if Rome had survived a century or so more. The day was still young and there would be much time later to explore the caves. And it might be more fun with a friend. So after his short rest Vaison decided to go down to the valley to visit a human friend of his.

If you've played Metroid Prime 3, there's a planet called Bryyo, it is mostly desert with a very thin band of tropical rainforest along the equator. This was the first thing that came to mind. I don't know if you had Bryyo in mind when you made this, I just thought it was an interesting similarity. Regardless, nice work as always.
