... this was originally an old entry for a contest that was held over on Deviantart several years ago (it was to create a Pokémon team that may appear in his comic, "Legendary...").

... dunno the current status of that particular comic these days, but i'm sure it's still around somewhere~

since everything about these Pokémon characters has CHANGED now, i'll keep the old description (including the old names n' everything) here for legacy reasons~ :33

Quick Background Bio

Originally from the south side Projects of Celadon City, Kris is no stranger to the fast-paced (and sometimes rough) lifestyle of city living.

After his decision of becoming a professional trainer, Kris left the city to challenge the gym circuits of various other regions. Being a well-seasoned trainer who specializes in dark and fire-type Pokémon with Tyko, his Typhlosion, being his first and favored Pokémon. Though for reasons that are his own, he has yet to participate in anything Pokémon League-related; despite having won battles against many gym leaders, Kris has never accepted a badge (all thanks to Morty...).

Even though Kris is a drifter, he tends to visit Professor Elm quite often. He usually sticks around the professor's lab to help out and whatnot, or just to shoot the breeze; however, he's never around for very long.

♂ Kris Trovelle

Age: Young Adult (23 yrs.)

• Character Personality

Cool, laid-back, and a bit nonchalant.

• Character Design

Kris wears a designer sports Pokémon League outfit that he won in a local Goldenrod City Tourney (hence the colors of the outfit); complete with matching shoes, windbreaker jacket, hat and headband (which he uses as a scrunchy to tie his short "rattata-tail").

Kris' dark skin tone and vibrant red eyes are interesting features that seem to make him look feral, just as a Pokémon.

♂ Tyreese "Tyko" Typhlosion

Age: Young Adult (approx. 18 human years)

• Character Personality

Tyko is energetic, playful, and overall a bit silly; being a quirky Pokémon is an understatement.

• Character Design

Tyko is 5’10” and roughly weighs in at about 202.3 lbs. (all thanks to being happily fed by his trainer). Contrary to most of his species, he has a lustrous ebony backside pelt along with a light crème-colored underbelly, along with intense red eyes. He also has a stocky build with wide-set shoulders (where his fur bristles, adding to the illusion of his being stocky).

The most unique-distinguishing feature that Tyko possesses is an odd curl of fur on the back of his head, just behind his ears; which is something he’s had since his Cyndaquil days.

Other Points and Facts

• Kris suffers from anemia and constantly feels cold; so because of this, his fire-type Pokémon serves as an external heat source for him

• Kris hates the cold, snow, and the overall winter season (and by extension, he has a strong dislike of ice types as well)

• Kris regularly plays various inventive games with his Pokémon

• Kris tends to refer to Tyko as a “hyperactive nitwit” every time he does something strange, odd, or just plain silly

• Tyko loves attention and often goes to great lengths to get it

• Tyko has a very bad habit of playing around, teasing, and taunting his opponent (because he never takes it seriously); he usually wins in the most ridiculous of ways or loses in the most hilarious of ways

• Tyko wears a pendant-like necklace made from his unused pokéball; which has a picture of himself as a Cyndaquil and Kris, who is cradling him, along with Kris' late father
