The Scourge of Humanity!
Backstory: (NOT FULLY SET IN STONE, SUBJECT TO CHANGE) Saldraks are an aggressive, bloodthirsty, Imperialistic race, The Saldrak Empire seeks to expand their empire and conquer both the Milky Way Galaxy and the Andromeda Galaxy. The Saldrak race sees other species as inferior insects to enslave, consume or exterminate, they’ve conquered countless worlds across the milky way galaxy driving uncountable alien races to extinction. Gladiatus isn’t like most of his species as he’s smaller and weaker than the average saldrak, he has sympathy for the other races that were conquered by his kind, he never truly saw the other races as inferior, and he loves the wildlife and nature. Eventually, after serving most of his youth to the Saldrak Empire he has had enough, by the age of 18 Glad ran away from the empire as he does not want to take part in his race’s tyrannical empire anymore and instead live his life in peace away from the Saldrak Empire. Glad was exploring the outer rim of the Milky Way galaxy to find a new home outside of Saldrak territory and eventually came across Planet Earth. Glad settled an area to build his underground lair and establish his new home in a dense swamp near a human city, Glad then learned about the primitive native inhabitants of this planet, humans…. The race intrigued glad at first, he then created his human persona that he can transform into to blend in with the humans as he wants to learn more about them peacefully. In his human form, he applied to a nearby college so that he can learn about humanity firsthand within the highly populated cities and maybe even befriend some humans too. Glad, however… soon learned that Humanity isn’t so different from his barbaric race as Humanity has a very violent history of wars, genocides, and tyrants as well as xenophobia and discrimination for groups of their species for not being the same or “normal” as well as Humanity having a long history of causing mass extinctions of countless animal species throughout their history which greatly saddened him. Glad also experienced bullying in his college similarly to how other saldraks picked on him for being small and weak, Glad’s shapeshifting had a flaw where his iris could not change its shape so he still retained the slit irises of a Saldrak in his human form which is often the reason why some of the humans called him a freak and pick on him, Glad normally tries to keep his cool but greatly worries about the humans potentially finding out what he truly is, especially after learning about humanity’s strong xenophobia and their fears about “alien invaders”.
One day Glad found a stray cat in the city near his campus, he befriends the little kitty as he feeds her every day on his way back to his home. It was all peaceful and he wanted to co-exist with the humans despite their flaws. until one fateful day… Glad was outdoors within the campus when he saw the same bullies bring the same stray cat he befriended, Glad was shocked and tried to get to the cat but few more people came to him and restrained him, the bully leader was mocking him saying that it’s pathetic to feel bad for ”some dumb street cat” Glad begged him to let the cat go but instead the bully kicked the kitty to a wall where all the bullies grouped up around her, they then were kicking her to death as Glad was forced to watch in horror while being held back by the other bullies, when the kitty stopped moving and a pool of blood spilled, Glad just stood still for a moment before he suddenly snapped as his eyes begin to glow red and he was engulfed in uncontrollable rage, entered into a blood fury frenzy, he turned back into his Saldrak form as he spat acid at one bully restraining him while he bit off the head of the second bully that restrained him before leaping towards the group who kicked the cat to death, he clawed, ripped, and eviscerated most of the bullies, the leader of them was terrified as he and another bully quickly tried to make a run for it, Glad quickly pulled his blaster and disintegrated one of the bullies into a skeleton and quickly chased for the other, the bully was hiding in an alley as he was trying to call the cops but right before he could Glad popped right in front of him biting his face as he crushed his skull with his jaw popping his head like a grape in a fit of rage.
He got out of his frenzied state after that but suddenly got shot by a cop who witnessed the whole thing, Glad was terrified with what happened and that human police saw him without his disguise, Glad then tried to escape but quickly got surrounded by more cops behind him which shot him again, Glad was severely wounded as he collapsed on the floor. As they were about to kill Glad, they halted their fire and instead call the military to capture the alien reptile alive, Glad was then taken to Area 51 where he was subjected to cruel experimentation, torture, and imprisonment for 5 whole years, Gladiatus was utterly miserable there, suffering from all that torment 24/7 without end, all that agony taught him that Humanity isn’t just similar to the cruelty and ruthlessness of Saldrak Empire, they are so much worse… Glad had never encountered such a vile species in the entirety of his existence… Glad now only see hatred towards all of humanity and if he escapes he wishes to destroy the entire race completely from the face of the Earth. After 5 agonizing years that day did finally came, Gladiatus was able to escape from his prison in area 51 and he slaughtered all of the personnel and scientists in his chambers, he then took back his blaster and released all the other aliens imprisoned in the facility, the aliens wreak havoc across the facility, Once Glad made sure all the aliens escaped safely, he then happily exterminated all of the personnel inside and then blew up the entire facility right after he finally leaves that hellscape. Gladiatus now has a new goal… which is to destroy the entire human race and conquer Earth, not for the Saldrak Empire but himself! While sparing all the innocent wildlife and creatures of this planet…
