Reffernces: LOTS. the background is from a magazine on woodworking whose name i have since forgotten many of the crystals i drew from life but seperatly the jewlers loop was my sisters and drawn from life. the faceted gems are from my imagination and the small cluster with the tall point kinda by itself is from an old Rock and Mineral magazine from the early ninties since i did this in 92 it had to have been a 90 or 91 issue.
Notes: this was done as a illustration for an advertisement for the now defunct Patak's Designs in the south side of pittsburgh. this is one of the most detailed and beautiful images i have ever done in my life and i reallyreally want to know what i was on when i did it. Had ot have been all that caffinee from back in my college days. I have never been able to get this much detail into ANYTHING since. let alone the composition and execution of the piece. I had actually forgotten this piece existed for a long time until i uncovered and it for a short time wondered where did i get such a loverly piece. then i saw it was mine and went WHOA!
