Angenikka - Lonely as you
Angenikka always loved the moonlighting nights. There was so many wonders in the forest. Thousands of tiny story and thousands of tiny beauty. Wherever she went, even if she visited her favorite places, even then every day the surrounding world changed a bit, there was always something new. She longed to share her joyful discoveries with others. But... Somehow, in the tribe members didn't really understand her.
As always, she noticed something now. A single small moon flower lit up in the night, under the flowers of a beautiful tiger-petal tree. It was astonishing, because usually dozens used to bloom together. For some reason she felt it the little flower is very sad, so she sat down next to it.
She said a prayer, in which she asked the great spirits of the forest to protect the flower. Then she started to sing a lullaby about the moon and the stars. But every time she looked at the little flower, that looked more and more sad.
She began to speak to the little plant and she named it Omahi-Nahaka, Which resembled the name of the god of the moon and the moonlight. As she spoke to the flower, she felt like she had found a friend. Angenikka told for a long time, about why she loves the forest and that she is the only one in the whole village who hasn't found a partner yet.
As a last thought, she wanted to say gratitude:
- Thank you for listening. You know, I'm alone and... - But she couldn't finish the thought. As she raised her hand to her chest, tears covered her eyes and she began to sobbing loudly...
Her thoughts echoed: "You know, i'm alone and... Lonely as you."
Angenikka - It comes from a Native American name. The original name is Angeni, meaning: "Spirit" or "Spirit angel". I wanted a nice name for the character.
Phoneme - ɑːngɛnɪkkɑː - phoneme-synthesis
I knew that drawing flowers wasn’t easy and that it took a lot of work ... but I didn’t think I would just draw petals for 13 hours. ^.^ All my respect to the artist-masters of the flowers.
I paint the fur on Angenikka's head completely, but i used fur-brush on her body... and of course correcting everywhere, because i can't use correctly the fur-brush. :D Not yet. Yet! But that is sure, it speeded up my work. I try to learn so hard, but i want to be faster too. ^.^
I'm stubborn and i'm still unwilling/refuses to use photos or photo-montage... not yet in this... but a great artist said all "cheat" is permissible, since everyone is cheating... The banks in particular. :D
Well. The fur never be easy for me, i feel that... but grateful thanks for:
BJPentecost and Aaron Blaise! They are great teachers brilliant artists.
Hmm. This artwork full of little mistakes(putative or real), and full of "wings trials". But i hope you like it. ^.^
Spent time: 40-60 hour.
