So this is the kitty I found outside my house on Friday. I wanted to post about him because it made me so sad. He was meowing on our pool deck when I was taking my dog outside to go pee Thursday night. I let him into the yard, only to see he looked awful.

He was the skinniest I have ever seen a cat, his stomach is almost non-existent. I wish I had a picture to show you guys. I brought him in the house and put him in a bathroom with food and water, but he wouldn't eat, only drink. I took him to the vet as soon as I could then next morning and spent...a crap-ton on him.

He had worms, fleas, maggots in a nailbed infection on his back foot, and they also think he has a respiratory infection. They told me just to keep him separated from our other pets for a couple weeks, and I gave the other animals flea medication just in case.

He wouldn't eat for another 2 days, not even tuna, but finally he began to eat the wet catfood we gave him. He's the friendliest cat, he just wants to be loved and petted, and to curl up against your body and sleep.

He's about 15, declawed and neutered. I really, REALLY hope someone didn't abandon him, but we haven't found any lost posters for him. I'm hoping to get to keep him, it's just up to the rentals, who I'm pretty sure are falling in love with him fast :P Anyway, just wanted to share that with you, and hope that if you find a stray pet, you'll help them out too. :3

Oh, and his name is Rusty.
