Figured the song title was appropriate. Here's a picture of my purple vixen character, around her late teens/early 20s. She's just starting out in her career as a goth rock/metal musician, hitting up downtown bars, local small-time shows and stuff as she works through college. She starts out on bass and backing vocals, but as her bandmates begin to notice her talents, she eventually makes it up to frontman/lead guitar.
She's a big girl - probably the largest normal character I have, at 6'0" and 375 lbs. She'd always been made fun of for her weight, and it played on her confidence for the longest time. And with her fur color so unnaturally bright, it wasn't like she could avoid being seen. It took being with her best friends and bandmates for her to accept who she was and be proud of herself, her body and her musical abilities. Her outfit began to reflect that as her simple clothing styles began to shift to emphasizing her true colors, rather than hiding them. She wears a silver Celtic cross necklace as a symbol of faith, determination and strength.
You can definitely expect more art of her in the time to come. She's been a character of mine for some time, but this is my first time applying a backstory to her. I like it so far; I definitely like the character design, so let's see what happens! :D
She's missing just *one* thing though - a name!

Well thank you! Looking back at this, I can see what you mean. I'll have to ask my friends what they think about it - I guess I could go back and fix this. I wish I had scanned this before I colored it though - I would love to go back over it with markers, now that I have those. I feel a lot more confident with them than I do with colored pencils.
And I'm glad to hear! All my characters have been steadily getting fatter - I'm glad my depiction of them has showed this. :)

Aww, thank you so much! I know that I have to absolutely *love* a picture to want it displayed in my home, so I really appreciate that! :)
Looking back, I see things that might have been better, so I'll probably redo this picture sometime in the future to correct the errors I see. For now though, I'm proud enough. ^^

Happy to see i made you respond in such a sweet way ^^ What are you going to do with it? make it look more colorful? realistic? Anime-esk? It doesn't have to be, if i were you, i would take a look at Van Gogh's work. he had an impressionistic style. Being an artist isn't about making things look real (we have cameras for that), it's about making something that can make people think, telling a story with a picture, representing (not copying) and sometimes distorting reality :D just keep doing your thing
