Redwall you say? Hmmm, I've only actually ever read two books from that series. The original Redwall and Martin the Warriors. Think Martin the Warrior was better but well. I notice characters tend to do really stupid things as the book approaches its end so that they can make sure all of the good guys get captured but one.
Oh! It's actually pretty easy once you know what to do, but is a real pain figuring it out. It was 
kaevon who told me how to do it.
Basically, in Microsoft Word or whatever processor you use, choose to save the file as a plain text. It should bring up a menu with a few options on it, and one of them will be a check box that says "Allow Character Substitution."
Click that box, and bam all the question marks gone.
