This is a bit of updated artwork I had done on an old D&D character I used WAY long ago. Don't remember the full backstory to her, but I remember that Vaneel, being a half-dark elf, was treated like crap on almost every scale. She was left to die before the Fathomless god of the oceans offered her salvation, which she accepted. I didn't really play D7D as much as I wanted back in the day (and really have no time for it now) but it's nice to look back on old characters as see where some inspirations sprouted from x3
