Maria held still, holding her breath as kept her trembling hand out. The creature never stopped watching her suspiciously as it leaned toward the open hand. Slowly parting its lips, revealing its set of large sharp teeth. Maria could feel its warm breath against her hand as it carefully took one berry from her palm and swallowed it. It paused a moment before running its tongue along her palm to scoop up the remaining berries. She tensed up as a few of its teeth grazed along her wrist as it took the berries. Her eyes never leaving his watching gaze.
