Ferdinand and Valiente smirked smugly.
"Yeah, these black and brown parts of the void were us," gloated Valiente.
"Us too, after the flashforward part, we kept growing," detailed Ferdinand. "The "orbs" kept looking smaller and smaller next to us, to the point they actually all accumulated in a small part of this void between us."
"The rest of the void wasn't empty, there were other masses of "orbs" around us, but we didn't really pay attention to them, we focused on "our" cluster."
"Of course, we kept getting stronger and beefier, we were so monstrously bulky it was a miracle we could still move."
"And not just that, but we were also getting studlier, if you get my drift..."
All the other animals stared at them in surprise, while the two interested thought back to their own shock as they realized that their speedos, the only part of the clothes that was still (impossibly) intact began stretching and bulging way huger than they were supposed to be, then to how good it felt...
"Oh, also we saw you," precised Ferd. "Congrats, Guapo and Maquina, you upgraded from "speck" to "grain"!"
"And Angus and Bones, I can't believe we managed to spot you in the little marble our universe cluster was for us!" added Val.
While Paco and Lupe laughed, the gloating was not in the taste of the four bulls.
*grumble*
"Yeah, laugh it up!"
"Next dream, we'll catch up to you! No, we'll outgrow you!"
"You'll look dumb, there!"
"Bring it."
"It's nice to hope."
The discussion degenerated in a argument in the theme of "I'll be the biggest!" "No, me!", leading Paco and Lupe to roll their eyes and leave before telling the hedgehogs, who had spent all the previous days showing Tres the farm and the fields, all they missed.
They were very surprised, but also interested, and quickly the six animals began betting on which bull would win the coming dream.
As for the bulls, they eventually calmed down, and went back to the pond.
When they tasted the water, realized that the weird taste was completely gone. Whatever caused that taste and triggered the dreams, it was gone.
The rest of the day went as normal.
But when the night came, as the bulls prepared for sleep and hoped that the end of the change in the pond wouldn't mean the end of the dreams, they had no idea a suspiscious truck had been prowling around the farm...
The very truck Tres had escaped four days ago...
