I remember renting Slayers on VHS from my local Blockbuster back in the day alongside Guyver; Slayers was one of my first tastes of 90's anime =D

Oh Wow! You watched Guyver as well? I actually found that through the live action movie when it aired on the Sci-fi Channel. Actually it was the sequel and then months later my little brother spotted a VHS of episodes 3 and 4 at Media Play.

I know how that can be. I saw Vampire Hunter D way too young thanks to the Sci-Fi Channel.

I know of that 4th character but i have no idea where she comes from. she just randomly appeared in the anime with some sort of sob story of revenge against Lina in one arc.

that's Martina, shes was created for the 2nd season of the anime and I dont think she was in the original manga. Shes a princess from a kingdom that Lina leveled at the start of season 2
