I can't imagine him using heal on himself without somebody doing the whole, "Why you hitting yourself?" routine.

It reminded me of a certain weapon from a certain role-playing video game, that weapon could heal your allies, but before healing it applied damage to your ally before healing.
Using that weapon once, I got a critical hit, the damage was so high that it killed my ally on the spot.
It was epic and I still can't get over it
