After Simba came back to the Pridelands, Zira and her hunt party weren't happy with Simba as king, and he know that Zira is someone dangerous for his life, so decide to exile her with her cubs. But at the moment he says it to Nala, refused to keep away Nuka from her.

I really loved the idea of Nala raising Nuka, I made some changes and in the end, Simba allow that Nuka can stay in the Pride. He wasn't happy, but with time he accepted him. Not like his son, but someone from the family after all.
