I was hoping that WereGarurumon might be in the series and here he is done to perfection in your style.
I could imagine this being a form of meditative exercise for WereGarurumon, being bound in this position for long hours as he focuses on attaining a state of absolute inner calm and balance, then when he's achieved the moment of absolute oneness with himself releasing the pent up energy and bursting free of his bonds.
Though there'd be some risk in meditating in a vulnerable position like this if there was anyone whom might want to take the opportunity to sneakily floof him.

Another possibility I could think of is that he's been captured but he's determined not to give his captors any satisfaction, so he'll maintain his steely glare, not moving a muscle or changing his expression and ignoring any discomfort and any pain from his kneeling for an extended period.
His captors though might be more mischievous and playful but determined to break WereGarurumon's composure though thinking the battle scarred wolf would be resistant to pain and they're not comfortable with that sort of torture anyway. So they'll instead take advantage of his vulnerable position and subject him to being scritched and floofed on his ears, headfur and shoulder tufts, tickling him on his feet and seeing if they can find any sensitive spots on his torso.
If he does break composure he'll get teased for being a big puppy dog and punished with more floofing.

It would probably be also that moment when a rescue party would arrive, picturing WereGarurumon undergoing all sorts of unspeakable tortures after hearing the guards referring to finally breaking his resolve.
