* I have started using a new painting technique. It evolved over a period of time where four pictures were done where the new method was used to do more on each successive image. This happened mostly by accident starting with this picture when I did a flat color image that used a mixer brush that I had never tried before to get a smoother color gradient on the inside of the mouth. I was trying to get a smoother look between darker to lighter colors on the surface of the tongue and couldn't get it to look right. Went into the tools menu and found a mixer brush and gave it a try, the results looked quite good. Tried using it again on the colors in the roof of the mouth and was satisfied at the improved blended look that I ended up getting. In the next piece of artwork that came after this one I used the mixer brush more and went for a piece of work where lighting and shading were used far more than in this picture.

* Scene - In the upper left of the image is a screen grab from Disney's animated short "Peter and the Wolf" showing Sonia the duck getting too close for comfort to the wolf's mouth. The rest of the image is my version showing a more detailed look at the wolf's maw but keeping it more in line with how it looked in the animated short.
