I was asked by my LCS to represent 'awesome local art' at Free Comic Book Day this summer. Like every year, the families who come in this one single day picked up free comics, bought Funkos or Pokemon cards and ignored the shop's entire book inventory and me. Which is (mostly) fine, I'm just happy they're surviving and it gave me peace & quiet to do this totally-improvised 4-parter. I'd like to do more with Thugly Betty, the Fatales' orca rival and the one 'just plain mean' character in the series, but it's hard to nail her look. I don't particularly care for most anthro orca designs sorry, (kinda prefer fin-heads or something akin to DC Rebirth Orca) and her beak is a hard one to work out. But like other artists, we all eventually nail it. Enjoy part 1!
