Let`s talk about something meaningful
Let`s talk about something meaningful! (watch Russ post on my profile)
Hello, dear furcommunity. I recently read a very important post that deserves attention.
I am an artist of the Russian-speaking Furaffinity segment and would like to express some thoughts in addition to this post. Link to the post:

I have been registered on the site since 2017, and for a long time I was an observer, studied and tried to start an activity, but I started posting my art only this year, I raised the skill, deleted most of the works I didn't like and even started drawing not only for myself, but also for you.
After a while, I will post information about the commissions, the cost of which will start from $ 28-35 per headshot. And it is important for me to raise the topic of devaluation not only of the work of the artist, but of creative content in principle.
As you know, and as has been said many times, in the Russian community and the CIS countries, in principle, creativity as such is really treated less reverently than in other countries, and artists, both conscientious and unscrupulous, move to English-language platforms to gain recognition, their own audience, that appreciate the work, or vice versa in search of profit. In addition to this problem, there are a number of others that affect the life of the furcommunity, contributing to the outflow of both artists and adequate customers.
In this regard, I have observed how much the price has fallen for works that are intoxicating from an aesthetic point of view, and there are several reasons for this.
1) They have fallen, as I have already said, because the ru community has to put prices lower, since the culture of evaluating creativity as a luxury item is at a low level, but I am glad that progress is being made, by artists in the first place, but it is still low, and people coming from ru platforms are guided by the prices that people are willing to pay in their native lands. (There is also a global problem, of course, the problem of low salaries, the low standard of living in many cities of Russia, there is not enough money for art, but for food and clothes, but, as I have already said and will say further, creativity is a luxury item, and unfortunately, not everyone can afford it) Do not devalue the work and appreciate the bad guys!
2) Do not dump, this is also a problem. If an artist has a decent level, and he estimates his halfbody work at $ 10, then others begin to take it for granted, as the norm. And there are claims to other artists, they say, why is it so expensive? Remember, everything beautiful is always expensive! It is better to point out to the artist his mistake, ask him to analyze the market, and even if the temptation is high, buy better at a decent price.
Artists, even if not immediately, but you will find your audience and your buyer who will appreciate your work!
3) Remember that sketching works, low-grade template works, cheaper alternatives to high-quality content occupy the market. Against the general background, you see 1000 and 1000 such works for 5-10 $ and of course, when you see a job that costs from $ 70 and above, it seems that it is very expensive, because you can buy it for only $ 5. But no, these works are qualitatively different, stamp and handwork are different here and in any other industry, do not ask the artist to descend to the level of the stamp.
4) Remember that in addition to the criterion of "reasonable price", there is also an assessment by the artist of his work. You can't ignore this surcharge. Time, effort, years of accumulated skill, years of absorbed knowledge (constructed compositions, color solutions, lighting) and much more are invested in each work, as well as often material resources, for example, for the purchase of subscriptions to graphic editors and other creative materials.
I came across this too, under one of the works someone wrote about an unreasonably high starting price of $ 70 for a 3D adopt, which included modeling a character from scratch, creating animation of the character's circle movement, design of the adopt itself. This person referred to the problems of the global market, fortunately there are people who understand that this assessment is wrong and unreasonable. Thank you for support, really!

In conclusion, I want to say that this post does not call for insulting anyone, I sincerely love the Russian fur society, and everyone has the right to any creativity. However, I believe so, and you may or may not support me. There are conscientious, understanding, appreciative people everywhere, I'm not generalizing, I'm just expressing thoughts about my long-term observations.
I just urge you not to discourage artists and other creators from continuing to develop and make content for you. Choose, buy, support someone wisely and don't be afraid to talk, don't be afraid to act!
Thank you all for reading! You can share this post, as well as the post to which the link is left, so that more people will know about them.
Thank you again!
