So those of you aware of the planned schedule know this story is a couple days late. It was written on time but I had trouble getting it uploaded. Just, some of you already know I have medical problems, and the amount of pain I'm in varies each day. I basically lost about four days of productivity from about Friday through Monday unable to get anything done. The good news, MRI has been done and seeing a doctor next week so will hopefully have a plan. As a result of me not being able to predict when I'm going to lose a day of work, there's not going to be an upload schedule and instead I will try to get stories up as soon as they're done. I'm still hoping to have all 13 donne by the 31st but this medical stuff sucks. Hopefully, I'll have a plan to deal with it next week and the pain will be small enough to just work through this week.

Thankfully, at this point there's like a 99% chance it's not life threatening. Like we're fairly mostly confident it's not a tumor. I'm meeting with my neurologist next Tuesday to go over the MRI results. At that point we should be able to start a treatment plan. The possibility of certain brain diseases has not been ruled out, but at this point the most likely explanation is a combination of migraines and cluster headaches. Lucky me to get both. But I've had a headache that has lasted multiple months now. Some days the pain is... annoying but bearable. Other days, feels like someone has driven a heated spike through my frontal lobe. I spent the last five days in that state. As of today, pain level seems to be going back down so I'm hopeful I can crank out as many stories as possible before I have another flare up. (Or if I get really lucky won't have a flare up till after doctor visit and they'll give me something to prevent it)
I feel for you, that kind of stuff is certainly not pleasant.
Make sure you don't use a lot of over-the-counter meds that you haven't been prescribed, and keep the sugar consumption low (as you've probably already figured out or been told.) I've found through past experiences that those two things can save you months and even years of pain (not to sound too overly-dramatic. I know some people consider it a touchy subject.)

Oh, I'm hypoglycemic or... is it the other one... I have the thing where my blood sugar crashes. As a result I'm a high risk for diabetes so I've pretty much been carefully monitoring my sugar intake for awhile now. I have a sweet tooth so I can't quite bring myself to give things up completely. But you know, in moderation.
I have one over the counter medication I take, and I take it as sparingly as possible. Basically, only on the days where I literally feel like I am going to die if I don't do something about the pain. I've actually been dealing with migraines for years. Usually, two Excedrin, and then a caffeinated beverage if it's really bad and then back to normal. This whole... Headache occurring, and not going away and being in different parts of the brain is new. I suspect the constant headache is triggering migraines and that's what results in the really really really bad days.
I should have an official diagnosis next Tuesday. If I was a betting man, my money would be that it's a case of cluster headaches. Which suck, but their are treatment options for them. And at least that's not something serious or life threatening. Honestly, I just want Tuesday to get here so I can get confirmation I'm not dying. Like, I'm 99% sure I'm not, but until I get the official word from the doctor my mind keeps going but what if you hit that 1%.
