Oftentimes, when a strong wind is whipping against me, I feel as if I could spread my wings and soar into the sky, lifted by the air around me. I sometimes look up at the clouds and imagine flying among them, high above where I stand. This drawing reminds me of that feeling. And although I haven't yet gotten an actual taste of what it feels like to fly, I hope to soon.
For a long time, I've wanted to try hang gliding, which seems to be the closest I can get. Yet for one reason or another, it never quite happened. But a couple months ago I resolved to finally give it a shot and since then I've been working on getting into a little better shape. I hope to do a tandem flight a few weeks from now. With a little luck, I'll land knowing more about myself than I do now.

, I asked her to draw me in flight. While the original is graphite, Merih enhanced the color for the digital version, giving it a splendid tone. I love it!
