I have dogs, it clogs my Dyson like a mo fo as well. One run down the hallway, and even tho the floor looks ok, the canister is full of hair - And you heard it right, in one run down the hallway...

Yeah, my hair is crazy. It literally acts like it's wild. It grows and grows and grows and is always dense no matter how much falls out. I lose anywhere from 10 to 20 strands a day and it doesn't matter. o-o

My ex roommate had hair that destroyed vacuum cleaners. We finally gave up and just swept it up into a pile. It made a ball about 8 inches across.

I have the same problem... Bane of having long hair.

I have a stiff bristle broom that I run over the carpet before I vacuum. I find moving it in small to medium circles will get the hair to mat up into a ball that you can just pick up in one large pieces by hand.
