The theme for this day was Camp, and here we have returning characters (aside from my friends) from last year's Octransfur. Looking back, this is actually my third fairy dragon TF written. I apparently really like them.

This was not my first idea for the prompt. The original idea was a camp for familiars, which a human character would attend in hopes of learning what it was like to be a familiar and, if it sounded appealing, becoming one herself. I rather liked the idea, but I had to scrap it for three reasons: Time (I was running late on Octransfur stuff), effort (I was writing two other OTF stories that day and simply didn't have the creative stamina left to do the idea justice), and setting (Much as I liked the general idea, I didn't quite feel like a camp was the best setting for it). That said, if this idea sounds appealing to you, don't worry: I will very likely be doing it at some point down the line, perhaps even during Octransfur if I get my act together regarding scheduling.

Speaking of the idea noted above, it's certainly a lot closer to what CrizBN did than what I ended up going with. Both his idea and my first idea involve someone going to a camp for X type of creature and being transformed into it. With the idea I went with, it was just the protagonist stumbling upon rats camping out. And the TF isn't actually related to the camp, so... yeah, depending on how you look at it, the idea I went with fulfills the given prompt in the same way that a sugar-loaded breakfast cereal is "part of this balanced breakfast".
