Thormundar - Gwynnad, the Winter God
"Wandering the forest in the dead of winter? Wrong move."
The second of the seasonal deer characters of Thormundar, I kept the widescreen format from the previous piece (Herneus, the Hunter God) for this one. This one was actually put in the backburner for a few months, but I decided to finish it up two or so weeks ago. I'm a big sucker for glacial ice chunks, so painting the ice chunks and the shards was pretty fun (The shards were also set to a lower opacity at first so I could pick colours from the intersections), though I had to add a little vignette to pull the shards out of the background.

Thank you! Since the character lorewise is the embodiment of winter (and all his siblings have antlers that reflect their seasons; a flower-wreathed crown for spring: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/31873239/ , ivy-wrapped antlers for summer: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/31351843/ , and antlers of sunlight for autumn: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/39993081/ ), having antlers of ice was a natural fit for him, hahaha
