I could get lost in this piece, the detail is incredible. I also love how their wing cradles the sun, as if trying to embrace its warmth, or perhaps this is a frozen moment in time, where we are seeing the wing rise to shield their eyes from the bright light. Either way, the symbolism is still there, whether the character knows it or not. Simply grand!
