I remember seeing exactly one documentary on medieval combat in like middle school that spent a lot of time talking about how big hammers were the perfect anti-knight weapon because you could either bang around the meat inside with enough blunt force to cause organ damage, or punch through with the spiky bit. So it's always been a fav :P
