Set Raysers to butt-kick!
Just having a little more fun with my Sci-fi spoof series, putting furry characters into the universe thereof. Here, Piper and Mitch are backing toward each other while they fire off their Rayser pistols. Disregard the title, as "butt-kick" is a stun setting and those beams are clearly meant to turn intended targets into chunky salsa. I did try to do a perspective trick in regard to Piper's arm and Rayser pistol. Her's is no bigger than Mitch's, but they are decorated differently. We also see the difference in uniform between male and females. Ladies get a knee-length skirt (to harken back to Star Trek TOS) while the guys all get their shiny pants. So much chrome.
The ship they're both serving aboard is the Super Rocketship Mu ( pronounced 'mew', I think). Although, you can't quite see the entirety of the symbol on Mitch's shoulder patch. I suspect they're probably fending off an invasion of Jelloids.
Anyway, I hope you all like more looks at these uniforms.

You would be partially correct. The accuracy leaves something to be desired. But, in the hands of an experienced user, it's not so bad. Maybe less of the scenery takes punishment. The cells draining rapidly? No, not really. The weapon is susceptible to overheating if the beam is sustained for too long, though.
The whole idea behind the weapon was to be antithetical to the phaser and other typical sci-fi side arms. It is definitely no Zat'nik'tel.
