A little bit of fanart for the Temeraire novels, quite possibly my favorite book series to date.
I wish my lines were as nice as my coloring is, but oh well!
When this is colored - which admittedly will probably take a while, with all the things I have to do - it will be extremely awesome, I promise!

Is the size referance correct? I was under the impression that these dragons were HUGE. Like, having a hundred people hang off them huge. Or, were you catching his younger days after hatching?
Other than that, this picture looks great. I do hope you can find time to work on it. :)

This is just a couple of weeks after hatching when they came off the ship he hatched on the first time and spent some time on the isle, can't remember which one it was, he was smaller then. (Albeit he also didn't have his frills and nose appendages back then, but I really wanted to draw them. :P)

Wow, this is, I think, the first art I've ever seen of this... Looks great!
It's tough to gauge exact sizes from her descriptions. The way she describes it, Temeraire could be the size of a small house at times and smaller than that at others... it's about the only confusing part of the books.
