The sounds of battle echoed throughout a forest, blades clashing and men screaming. Then, after some time with one final shout of pain, there was silence, not one bit of sound was made, not even from the wildlife. Hamuro stood within the center of a bloody battlefield, no warrior was left alive once she had finished. "Pathetic," she thought to herself, not a single one of them posed even a modicum of a challenge for her, all of them were far too weak to even be called warriors in her eye. She kicked one over and investigated them, there was a piece of parchment with a sketch of herself upon it. Seems like her going around and fighting people had garnered her a bounty, and a sizable one at that.
"Good." She thought to herself, a bounty meant that people would start coming for her instead of her seeking them out. And those with confidence will be the ones to take it, hopefully weeding out the weak. She glanced at some of the bodies near her that fell in seconds and scoffed a little, maybe the next ones would fair better. Hamuro wandered about the woods for a bit before she sat against a tree and closed her eyes to rest, even if just momentarily. Even if she was a powerful warrior, Hamuro was still mortal, she was still capable of exhaustion and overexertion.
"Hmm, you seem to be in good spirits today Hamuro, is something good about to happen?" Said Kerdos, the large skull floating about her in a haze of shadow.
Although Hamuro didn't smile she kept her eye closed when she spoke. "Yes there is, seems like more warriors have found their friends or the previous party. And by the sounds of the footsteps upon the ground, I would say about 40 strong coming on horseback or foot."
"You can tell all that just from the vibrations in the ground being picked up from my blade? The more I am with you the more you impress me Hamuro, I was right to choose you as my wielder." Said the skull as Hamuro opened her eye and got ready to stand up.
"A compliment from you is rare Kerdos, but I will gladly take it, now then, 40 to one seems a bit fairer for them, let's see if they can manage to take me down," Hamuro spoke as she began to move to the location of oncoming warriors, the blood bath soon to continue.
