CCCV: Let Sorries Come Out of Ashes

Figuring out how to pace the middle of this chapter was the trickiest thing about writing the script. I had a lot of little, different ideas to thread together among the cast. They needed to be timed just right: too quickly and there’d appear to be a leap of logic; too slow and people would wonder why a character waited so long to do a thing. And the whole time, Cass needed to be transforming bit by bit. It required a lot of scene changes, and not all of them lead directly into one another. I drew Cass and Noah in the background of panel 7 to signal that the scene on the staircase is progressing while we take a detour to see what’s going on in the living room.

The description you wrote is probably one of the ones that we are going I am going to be coming back to throughout this chapter with dread over the implications.
Alright called shot time: flint is going to run away he isn’t handling the stress well. He doesn’t want to be here if the plan works... and he doesn’t want to be here is if doesn’t. This is sad because it is cass’s fault she has taken a huge risk believing it’s consequences will only affect her. She feels and intense emotional burden so she feels the risk is worth it and one way or another all of this will be over. The problem is it will only be over for her.
If this is true there is a bomb shell page coming up where cass realizes how this “do or die” mentality’s consequences could affect the people she cares about with her potentially suicidal actions but it is already to late to do anything about it.
So looking forward to that darknight of the soul you tee’d up here
