What If...Anakin Grew Up on Cartoonia?
This is an alternate version of Anakin from this story in the "Youtube Poop: Divergences" series I've been imagining.
In this deviation from the main YouTube Poop timeline, the ship carrying Shmi Skywalker and an infant Anakin in mid-1990 managed to make a blind jump into hyperspace when it was attacked by pirates near Takodana. The ship was only brought out of hyperspace when the captain shut off all power and unplugged the hyperdrive. As it just so happened, they exited hyperspace right near Cartoonia in the year 1935 (Cartoonia Time), but the ship was so heavily damaged in the attack that it couldn't break free from the planet's gravitational pull. Shmi and Anakin managed to get into an escape pod and jettisoned just before the ship burned up in the atmosphere. However, a piece of debris from the ship's wreckage struck the pod's stabilizer and sent it tumbling out of control. Shmi held baby Anakin tight and took the bumps on the ride down.
The pod finally crashed about 20 miles west of Nashville, Toonessee, and nearly struck the pickup truck of Chanticleer's surrogate parents Richard and Mary. Shmi had suffered serious internal injuries during the crash, but Anakin was safe though crying. Richard and Mary could see Shmi in the damaged pod, and Richard pulled the broken frame of the viewport out of the way. Shmi then gave Anakin to Mary, as she and Richard remarked at the human CG-animated baby that had survived the crash. In her dying breath, Shmi told Richard and Mary Anakin's full name before succumbing to her wounds. Richard and Mary gave Shmi a proper burial on the farm and decided to adopt Anakin, Americanizing his name to "Andy". Once back at the farmhouse, Richard and Mary introduced Chanticleer and his six sisters to their new adopted brother.
"Andy" and Chanticleer grew up together and became very close to one another, despite "Andy" not being an anthropomorphic chicken or a 2d-animated Cartoon like the rest of Cartoonia. They even went to school together, along with Chanticleer's other friend Henry "Snipes" Snipley. Chanticleer was always in his "little brother's" corner, even when "Andy" got into trouble. Chanticleer completely understood "Andy" when his "magic abilities" started manifesting, and helped him put his weird powers to good use. Because he could jump so high and had sharp reflexes, "Andy" easily got onto the school's basketball team, leading the Polk High Polecats to victory in the championship during his senior year. "Andy" also developed a love of mechanics and cars, and entered a lot of underground drag races in high school as well.
Now, at age 21 in 1955 Cartoonia Time, "Andy" works as the main mechanic on the farm, fixing tractors and other machinery. He also knows how to play guitar just like Chanticleer, and the two engage in jam sessions and campfire songs with the farmhands every so often. "Andy" is still unaware of his true origins, nor of the part he was meant to play in the grand scheme of things in the universe...
