Gaze going through his beginning atransformation into his werebeast form during a blood mood. During a blood moon, werebeasts are generally less likely to be around other creatures or werebeasts, due to them claiming territories and become dangerously territorial in doing so. Of course, this all goes away once the sun comes up, but during this time, while they are far less likely to go out and look for trouble with anyone, a claimed territory gives all the grounds needed to become hostile.

The person would have to be fast enough to lure them towards another werebeast if they wanted to do so, they won’t leave for anything and are normally miles away from another one. Though there is a better chance of one accidentally wandering than to force them together, and normally it’s much younger and less experienced were-creatures that do this. But yes, other than blood moons, they are very pack oriented. If anything, full moons are when they are all closest together. Werebeast Phantom and Gaze often lead the hunts, but they try to not let their beast forms take over if they can help it.
