Just because he's a non-violent happy go lucky fellow traveling the multiverse that doesn't care if he gets shot, stabbed or other (immortality means everything gets better so why fight)

Doesn't mean he wont actually put up a fight if a new friend is in danger. (They generally are not immortal so they sometimes do need saving) which by help generally means summoning something not native to the dimension he's in... from elementals to demonic looking things.
