Yep, doing another one of these.
Scar's Child: (Technically I have three OCs who are Scar's children, but I already drew one of them for another one of these challenges, so...) When Scar took the Pridelands throne after murdering his brother, he initially took the newly widowed Sarabi as his mate. He desired a strong son to have as an heir, and he got his wish when Sarabi gave birth to two cubs, one of which was a healthy male cub that Scar named Kamili. As soon as he is weaned, Scar takes Kamili away from Sarabi and began to teach the boy everything he needed to know to be a king. What Scar didn't know is that Kamili didn't want to be his father's successor. He saw how harshly he and his hyena lackeys treated his subjects and he would often hear the other lionesses secretly whisper about how his late uncle Mufasa was a much better king. He didn't want to inherit his cruel father's legacy. So one night, a teenage Kamili gets up and runs away from home.
After his son went AWOL, Scar was now without his perfect heir. Sarabi was getting older and probably couldn't produce healthy cubs anymore, so he decides to try for an heir with Zira, one of his most loyal followers. Their first attempt results in a cub named Nukato, whom Scar later renounced as his heir due to him being a bit lacking in the brains department and decides to try one more time with Zira. Scar never gets to see this next litter as he is overthrown by his nephew Simba and killed by his former lackeys just months before they're born.
Zira later gives birth to three cubs: two daughters named Vitani and Shetani and a son named Kisasian. When Kisasian and his littermates are only a few days old, Zira and the rest of her family are banished from the Pridelands for the apparent "murder" of King Simba's daughter, Aisha. Vitani and Shetani were born small and weak, but Kisasian showed promise of growing up into a strong lion and Zira planned on raising him to overthrow Simba and take back the land that belonged to his father. But not all things are meant to be as while his two sisters grew healthy and strong, Kisasian somehow got weaker and sadly died from an illness when he was only a month old. And while devastated by his death, Zira still planned on finding a worthy heir for Scar. And she finds that heir in the form of a dark furred, green eyed cub born to her sister Kijinga...
The Lover: Kubili is born in a pride known as the Marshlands, and his birth caused quite a stir as he was somehow both male AND female. He didn't have many friends growing up as most of the other lions his age thought he was a freak, but he surprisingly ends up forming a friendship with the pride's princess, Njozi. Her father King Umbusi didn't arrove of her socializing with such a strange lion, but they still hug out together regardless and the two of them began to develop feelings for each other as they grew older that was beyond just being good friends.
Kubili and Njozi have a night of passion together as adults which results in Njozi becoming pregnant. Having already set up a betrothed from an ally pride for her, Umbusi is outraged by this and attacks Kubili, screaming that a freak like him didn't even deserve to be in his daughter's presence. Kubili is banished from the Marshlands, and after having some time to heal from his injuries Njozi appears near the border one night and reveals that she's leaving home to protect their cub from her father's wrath. Life on the run is difficult, but the two lions manage. And after the birth of their son Pamoja, Kubili and Njozi end up being accepted into a wandering pride made up of misfit lions that had previously been prideless. The odd couple is accepted in with open arms, and Kubili happily spends the rest of his life in this pride with his new family.
The Outcast: Kawaida is born the the Riverlands to a high-ranking huntress named Mwindaji. Much like Kubili, Kawaida's birth caused quite a stir in her birth pride as she somehow looked like two different lions mashed together and was also born with mismatched eyes. The Riverlands lions were very superstitious and saw mismatched eyes as a curse, and as soon as Kawaida is weaned her mother all but disowns her and focuses all her attention on her littermate Kimiza. Kawaida ends up being used as a scapegoat for any bad event that happens in the pride and after Kimiza suddenly dies from an illness, a grieving Mwindaji blames Kawaida for her untimely death and chases her out of the pride, screaming that she never wanted to see her again.
Life as a rogue didn't go smoothly for Kawaida either, as every rogue that she encountered saw her as either a freak or curse, and would avoid her or try to attack her on sight. But things begin to turn around for Kawaida when she finds a newborn cub washed up on a riverbed. The cub smiles at Kawaida, the first lion to ever do so, and Kawaida decides that she can't let this cub starve. Her quest for a wetnurse leads her to meeting a rogue lioness named Zanta who had recently given birth to two cubs. She agrees to feed the cub that Kawaida had named "Tabasamu" as long as Kawaida helps her find food, and the two lionesses form a strong friendship and start their own pride of misfit lions together. Kawaida is a very devoted mother to her adopted daughter Tabasamu and later gives her a little sister named Aziza to dote on.
Mohatu's Mate: Furaha is a princess from a faraway pride known as the Coastlands. When she is a teenager, her father King Tufani choses to have her betrothed to Mohatu, a prince in the far off Pridelands. Furaha was very nervous about this arrangement, as she had never left her home pride before, and she had no idea what this prince was like. But that all changes when she arrives in the Pridelands and meets her betrothed. Mohatu may have been a few years older than her, but he was quite the gentleman. The two of them hit it off right away, and ended up getting married in a few years. Furaha forever remains loyal to him, sticking by his side and offering to help out during the Great Drought. But when they decide to have cubs, their initial attempts result in nothing. It turned out that Furaha apparently had low fertility, which made conceiving a litter difficult. Many of Mohatu's subjects suggest taking a new mate or making his niece Faida his heir, but he and Furaha continue to keep trying. Their persistence eventually pays off years later when they are blessed with a litter of three cubs.
The Huntress: Takata is the daughter of King Ahadi and his second consort Uru, and is the sister of Mufasa and Scar. While her brothers are destined to become the future king and leader of the Lion Guard, Takata ends up finding her own niche in the pride as a huntress. She manages to take down a full-grown zebra during her first solo hunt, and after honing her skills some more she ends up becoming the chief huntress of the Pridelands' hunting party. Takata continues to lead the hunting party when her brother Scar becomes king and ends up leaving the Pridelands with her son Hamidi when he ands four of his friends are exiled for plotting against the King. Takata leads them to sanctuary in the nearby Msingi Pride and later ends up settling down there permanently after Scar is overtrown by their nephew Simba, with her daughter Makena becoming the new leader of the Pridelands' hunting party.
Wild Card: Mtu is a roving male lion of unknown origin. He largely keeps to himself and goes around visiting various lion prides looking for willing females to breed with. His large mane, muscular physique and all around friendly nature makes him a rather popular lion for lionesses who want cubs to breed with. He isn't the least bit picky about the females he breeds with, and once the deed is done he bids them a fond farewell and continues on his merry way to who knows where. Mtu fathers several cubs during his lifetime and one of his grandchildren -an Outsider male named Kovu- later marries into the Pridelands' royal family, ensuring that his bloodline would continue for many generations to come.
