Peer into the dragon's lair and enter if you dare!
This photo is looking into the mouth of a large lava tube cave located in Lava Beds National Monument in extreme Northern California. It's the largest known concentrations of lava tube caves in North America. There are large caves like this one that are big enough to provide a comfortable home to dragon (which is why I found it so appealing) and other caves are so small that you can have to crawl through them, sometimes flat on your stomach. It's somewhat strange to be standing in a cave that was once a torrent of flowing lava from floor to ceiling. Definitely a good place to go looking for dragons!

I know how you feel. One of the odd jobs I have had was about 10 years ago. I took a break from Alaska, whales, tour boats and ships. I spend about 2 years in Springfiled, Missouri. For several months I was a tour guide in a place called "Fantastic Caverns". I thought it fitting for a Dragon to be working in a cave! }:=)
They look like a great movie set as well. Which come to think of it, if you ever see a bad...BAD...awful movie called "Dragon Fighter" with the guy that used to play Superman on the old "Lois and Clark" show. There is a scene at the start of the film where knights are supposedly fighting a Dragon that looks alot like that. }:=)
