kalira9's 3rd sketch for me, and I think she's right in saying it's the best of the bunch. Really great pose of my monk, especially with the hands & fingers. She fits the page really well! For added awesomeness, she broke up the monotone by coloring that rose. I gotta say, I really dig monotones that have one object colored. Like the one kuron did a while back, of Rooth at a poker table. In fact, I'm so happy with how Aram came out that I chose her as the follow-on commission from kalira9 -- I originally was thinking of maybe upgrading the sketch I liked best.
But I have a dilemma. I need an idea. In the upgraded sketch, Aram's right foot will be drawn stepping on something. What could it be? Got any ideas?

But her colors are along the lines of green/yellow, right? And she has hair(some shade of brown, right?). Both are qualities of the character I've been constructing in my head. I've tried commissioning for him twice so far on DA with talented artists, but he hasn't come out right yet, so I'm still looking.
Yep, she's primarily green (emerald dragon, actually; gem-type, from D&D). She has black hair, and she wears gold, green, and black clothing, typically. She wears a rose wreath on her head.
Oh, and she's a she, so kinda different from your guy. ;)
My advice: give artists freedom. Most of them like that, and will create cool stuff you may not have thought of. Each of my characters can be easily distinguished by 5 short bullets; I typically leave the rest up to the artist. Aram, for example, sometimes has 5 digits on her hands, sometimes 4. Sometimes she has scales, scale plates, gemstones, etc. Over time, there will be enough versions of Aram that I can point to what I like about each one and assemble "the perfect Aram"
But some degree of freedom makes artists happy to draw your character, especially when you don't have an established design or ref sheet. And happy artists make better art, usually. Give 'em space, and they'll fill it with win, usually. :)
