The chunky boy on the left is Ludwig Krestov - Scientist, head of the laboratory, one of Illiopol's* most promising and honorable researchers.
Fundamental successes in his field allow him to be an arrogant and self-conceited. Even his appearance suggests him as the possessor of a prudence and rationalism, Ludwig is cold, patient and overly persistent in approach to everything his heavy paws touch.
In addition to the composition of the entire lab, Emilia "M" Aster, the Goblin lab technician, his apprentice and occasional personal assistant, works under his auspices.
Despite her optimism, Em is always full of indecision, suffers from pathological absent-mindedness and a total inability to bring her own projects to completion, ideas for which are crammed in her head in myriad ways.
However, this excellence in irresponsibility does not prevent her from treating her boss's assignments with much more enthusiasm, and executing them at the proper level
She genuinely admires Ludwig as a scientist and serves him wholeheartedly. You might say she inwardly idolize him.
