Witchtober officially begins. Got ten pics to post at a rate of 2 per week. Expect pics to go up on Tuesdays and Fridays.

So, for this pic, Jenny, Samantha, and Greta, after being transformed into mice by tainted Halloween candy, found themselves in a very terrifying game of hide and seek with the local witch. What is this old crone up to? Why is she trying to catch these kids? I have no idea, but the girls better run if they don't want to find out! Hopefully she isn't looking for "playmates" for her 50 bazillion cats.

Not got too much to say about this one. Other than it being the first time I sketched out the whole background paper, which I needed to do because the witch was interacting with it. Simpsons character remain fairly easy to draw and much quicker to ink and color on the digital side because, if I'm trying to mirror the show's style, there's a lot of the more advance techniques that I just don't use. Normally the show doesn't seem to use shadows, but I added shadows to the bed cover and the witch to reinforce them being seen, letting the light indicate they were in full view. I don't know if the show does stuff like this from time to time, as I never watch it, but it felt right for the image.

Anyway, more to come. I've got a lot of pics that I'm really excited about. Some simple pics, but also a few really complex ones and one that is a three way collab that turned out ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. While it's been fun, I will say that working on this many pics in such a short time frame, especially following immediately on the heels of Frogust, has been kinda exhausting and I'm glad that I don't do this every month.
