These are some sketches for an upcoming painting. I feel like with a lot of my earlier attempts at painting/ making a finished piece of art I get overwhelmed with all the details and really fucking things up as a result. So this time I’m trying to work out the design of everything beforehand in sketches. Taking each object in the piece and familiarizing myself with it so when it comes time to paint I hopefully won’t be as overwhelmed.

I like the dog but the cheetah still needs some work.
