I have a week off in October and didn't know how to use it! So I asked others for suggestions and 
monroethelizard suggested Kraków to me (the historical capital of Poland).
I've always wanted to go to Kraków as the city looks gorgious and there looks like there is so much to see including paying my respects to those lost in nearby Auschwitz. So with the suggestion hanging on my mind from Monroe and with the Wieliczka Salt Mine added to my list of places to visit, I caved in and booked it all the same day!
