Drawn in July during my hiatus
Did a back study for Solar that I'll be putting on an official type of reference soon! His scar placements and shapes keep changing so I have to try to finalize things looool
This is an older Solar again (well current age but older than what he is in the comic!), as indicated by the different tattoos he has!
He's also not as.....big?? in The Sun Had Claws! After everything that happens Solar works on bulking up and getting stronger so he doesn't lose fights or get overpowered
Solar's most prominent mark is the large burn scar that appears on the left side of his face, down his neck and onto his back, and down his left arm! He received this scar in his early teens (13) during a Rebel Fire raid on a secret lab beneath the city's water treatment plant. Rebel Fire was aiming to put a stop to the lab feeding the chemical responsible for Turnskins into the city's water supply and also to release any detained experiments. Solar was amongst these experiments. Without going into too much detail, an explosion from a small rogue bomb detonated and Solar was caught in the crossfire that ended with him receiving intense burns to his body.
