Using a translator online, I did confirm that "kraftwerk" does, indeed, translate to "power station" in English.
I agree with you that Kraftwerk were ahead of their time. They have also been major influences in other electronic music bands. Who knows what modern electronic music would sound like if it weren't for them. A big nod also goes out to Giorgio Moroder, without whom there might not have been electronic dance music, at least with its heavy beat.

I agree that Giorgio deserves to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Hell, if it wasn't for him then Donna Summer, who was inducted in 2013, might never have shot into stardom. How such a huge musical influence has been overlooked by the R&R HOF is beyond my realm of comprehension.
"soon it will be gone"
soon is good... the rebuild time of an Atomic powerplan was calculated with min 10-15 years.
some AKW they have deconstructed short after the mellenium were still not finish... 20 Years is a more realistic number.
Most of the stuff should not be radioactive...but the medium radioactive stuff have still no really safe place to storage...only test areas where one hase fail after not even 3 decade (Asse II)
The deconstruction of each AKW could cost arround 100 million euro.
And how could guess it. a big part of the cost will pay the German tax payer...
