I really wish parts of this movie was done better, there was so many scenes that felt rushed, a whiplash from being emotional with sunny to being completely fine and moments that dragged or couldve been taken out to better finish a moment or build up on some of the characters/events
It was a pretty movie and was an OK watch but I felt empty after it and kinda wished I hadn't watched it with the pacing of it.
I know it's a kids movie and one big toy commercial, but that shouldn't be a cop-out for what it is

i feel like the movie is literally one giant trailer LMAO i totally agree
something like this piece here would do wonders for the story, and i really think maybe a 5 minute or so backstory to why everyone is separated out have also done a lot in terms of storytelling! makes me legit fear for the quality of the show when it ends up coming out..

It does me too, It really would've been nice with just holding the lows with sunny that little bit longer.
It had too many parts that were either too high action/fast pace with constant things happening without a break to grasp what went on, or just drawn-out bits that don't add anything to what's happening and just made it confusing with what it was trying to do.

Gosh I felt that way too where the pacing was definitely fast ;o; I thought it was a cute movie but definitely some of the scenes could have been executed to be more impactful

It would've made it hit so much more with hitch and zip rushing to sunny and izzy after they fell, sunny seeing the broken frame of her and her dad to have a moment of selfdoubt, that she just messed everything up again for phyllis to break that moment to put a piece of the frame back together and saying something about sunny and her dad with how they never stopped believing and that she shouldnt stop believing now.
The build up with sunny, izzy, pip and hitch becoming friends, who came together to try and find the crystals to bring back magic, them all working together to try and stop sprouts machine, for it to then click for sunny that its more about them all being broken apart from eachother, isolating, the lies that grew to make them all fear each other, to that being when the crystal start to glow and sunny becoming the foreshadowed beacon of hope to turn into an alicorn like she did in the end.
