There was a long amount of time K08A1D spent buried underground, as time quickly passed by in his inactive state, he was unable to move, unable to think. It was like a deep slumber that he couldn't wake up from, as if he was sleeping, but sleeping without dreams, without thoughts, without... life... so it was nothing but darkness. But one day, his circuits booted up, the power in his body turned on, the "life" returned to his eyes as they flashed on. He looked up as his body started functions again, and saw a group of people standing before him. He happily greeted the new quests to his master's home, it was rare for his master to have people over and he was happy to tend to them while they remained in his master's home. But when K08 looked around he saw the room he was in was incredibly dusty, the place in so much wear and tear. He quickly apologized for the state of the condition of the place and quickly got a dusty broom covered in vegetation and started doing his best to clean the place up.

But the very old broom crumbled after a bit of use, causing K08A1D to look at it in confusion. He analyzed the broom and his programming told him that by the state of the wood, and condition it must have been as old as 1621 years 144 days 21 minutes and 56-57-58 seconds old. Which caused him to initiate confusion within his "thoughts" the event and state of the broom were strange. He had only been "asleep" for a few hours as that was when his Master told him to go to bed. K08 looked at those that freed him and tried to question what happened, to get answers from them as he was showing, distress. He had failed in his tasks and he didn't know exactly how he could face his master like this knowing he had failed in his duties. But as he was starting to break down from failing his primary objectives everything went dark again, and his body turned off.

After a few minutes, his systems booted up again and he looked at those that had initially freed him. But his eyes seemed to be blank, akin to that of an actual robot.

[HELLO THERE! I AM K08A1D UNIT-81! CREATED BY THE GREAT MAGE EVERON DOGMA! THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAS-] [[MEMORY DELETED!]] [[PLEASE STATE YOUR NAME TO BE DESIGNATED THE TITLE OF MASTER! NEW OWNERSHIP WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO THE SELECTED PERSONS!]

The group looked in confusion and after some arguing and back and forths one of the adventurers spoke up and ownership was transferred to him. K08A1D asked for new objectives, as his previous ones seemed to not exist, and his past memories of who he served were somewhat forgotten, the necessary information causing his breakdown removed to continue maximum capacity functions. The new master was uncomfortable about being called such a name and just asked to be called by his normal name to which K08 agreed too.

After some time the group left the ruins of the tower, K08 now having new directives given to him as he followed his new master away from the strange ruins he was within. He had his whole "life" ahead of him and now he was given a chance to explore beyond the confines of his home and truly see what the world had to offer by the side of his new Master. But this little kobold shaped bot didn't know what his new master would have him do, but he was more then willing to listen to his every command, but he was ever learning, so who knew what he would pick up.
