Born from the union of her vampire mother Fiona and a werewolf, 15-year-old Tara has led a somewhat challenging life as a vampire-werewolf hybrid. Looking like a werewolf by default and able to take on a fully canine form but unable to appear fully human, she's had to take on the role of her family's dog in public, usually acting as the loyal pet and guardian of her younger sister Ema. Needless to say, this has made finding friends difficult. She hasn't let this get her down though, and when she's at home, she's a very upbeat and physically active girl. Her mother has also trained her in combat, leading to her combining those teachings with her own athletic abilities and inherited monstrous ones for a unique style of self-defense should she ever need it. And with a mysterious force threatening the world and causing a rise in violent clashes between monsters, she'll need it sooner than she thought...
