Why are trains so damn cool?

Seriously, I love trains. They're awesome. And I don't know why.

Though maybe it's because it's a giant 50+ ton machine capable of moving thousands of tons of material at high speeds?

At least you got a nice diesel engine for you Birthday.
I got the boring Allan CP 0350 Diesel Units... this idea of taking out the IC trains pulled by CP 1930s for track renewal just kills me a little...
