The prompt for this day was Artifact. My first idea was "Magic: the Gathering", but I ultimately settled on this.
During the later part of October, I'd been reading through and quite enjoying the 13 Tales series by calextheneko. I feel like this story may have been influenced by the rather playful tone of those stories, though obviously in my own style, because, y'know... I wrote this one.
Comparing this to CrizBN's entry as I have with my other tales, it's interesting that we both had the idea of similar objects, with a scepter basically being a mini-staff. I would probably have more to say if I had any idea what a Stardust Crusader is, but oh well. I will say I quite like the pose he chose, though!
