poisonous?

2nd most deadly plant in north america

Very poisoness, used by some indians, u can actually trip face off it, but the burning orange piss and inabillity to even swallow water kinda takes the fun out of it, but ya, its a beautiful plant, they started coming up wild in our garden, came in from cow manure or somethin, but we have morning glorys on the house, and the jimson weed blooms at night, pretty neat plant

Ill have to see if i can find a pic of ours, i dunno if theres different breeds, but ours have purple in the veins of the flower

oh yeah, all alkaloids will make ya trip, Atropine being the active tropane alkaloid in this plant. there are a very wide variety of species here in the U.S. (Datura: Stramonium, inoxia, wrightii, metele, fastuosa... the list goes on.)
as for the trip itself, yeah, you can. I hear one of the preferred methods of one tribe was for 2 people to share it. one would chew a leaf until it was mostly liquid, and then spit it into the others eyes through another leaf that had been perforated. the problem with Atropine in this state is that there isnt a known lethal dose (and lethality in this case SUCKS! like the super death type of sucks...). it just varies so much from person to person that its hard to tell.

the species you describe could really be most any Sp. in the Genus. if i had to venture a guess I'd say Stramonium, but yeah, I'd need a sample and I'd have to know what region you're in.
