It must have been so daunting to make a comic like this. I can already tell from the first page that a lot of time and effort went into this. The overhead shot in the first panel is cool, and the backgrounds are great. It's only the first page and you're already drawing an impressive background? Talk about starting strong!
Speaking of starting strong. You've done a great job at showing off Maddibold in her first page. The tail wagging and expression do a great job at showing off her personality. She clearly loves her craft, and she seems like a great character!
It might seem silly but some of my fav parts of this page are the speech bubbles. A huge pet peeve of mine is when comics have speech bubbles ordered incorrectly, but you got them perfectly here: they are all very clearly positioned on the page and it's easy to tell which one to read next. You've already mastered this and it's only the very first page of the comic? I can't wait to see how awesome the rest of this is.

Heehee, it absolutely was daunting; I was doing backgrounds seriously for the first time and this project is something I didn't wanna skimp out on, as I started this project as a love letter for my girlfriend before she and I got together. This particular chapter takes place in her worldbuilding, while the next one takes place in my own! My goal was to bring life to her world and my own, and so that passion made working on these pages much easier!
Readability of a page is also very important to me, and I'm glad that it paid off even this early on!
