This animation is so interesting, just the right amount of frames to convey exactly what’s needed. The color placement is also just right to show the smoke effect. Definitely impressive since “smoke effect” is more abstract, and it can be easy for an attempt to become cluttered or unreadable. It’s done very well, and easy to imagine this as a loss state for a gameboy era game
