Subject: Scorplings

Background: Scorplings were first discovered after the civil war, the results of a breeding effort during the war to increase armor and defensive abilities of Changeling combat units. The project was halted when SS artillery damaged the underground lab and caused the survivors to scatter. The surviving Scorplings fled South into the desert over the LPC border. The scattered populations banded together to make small settlements in the desert.

Report: Scorplings are armored enough to block heavy MGs (12.7mm) and light auto cannons (20mm). Scorplings are tough with very quick healing abilities paired with magical abilities makes them very difficult opponents for ground troops. However, the average intelligence level for Scorplings is rather low, with 47.6% below the average IQ and 23.1% being illiterate. They pick up topics fast, but retention of information is almost nonexistent. Most Scorplings show passive and friendly traits when interacting with others. They are very easy to get along with and are difficult to upset. However, Scorplings are very protective of loved ones and friends and will get violent if a threat is perceived. Suggest further observation, Scorpling populations expand quickly thanks to their ability to conceive young without a queen, needing only a willing host to have clutches of 10-15 eggs. If left alone, we project they'll be a threat in 5 to 7 years.
